Principal Monica Palmer 

Principal Monica Palmer has worked in CMS for 16 years serving as a teacher, assistant principal and now principal. Ms. Palmer received an undergraduate degree in Special Education from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Ms. Palmer also holds a Masters in Executive Leadership and Secondary English from Gardner-Webb University. Outside of school Ms. Palmer enjoys spending time with her family and friends and participating in activities that help serve the community.

Assistant Principal Kristen Hoyt

Ms. Hoyt has been an educator for over 20 years, serving in the roles of Teacher, Title I Coach, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal. She was a NC Principal Fellow and earned her Master's degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. When not working, Ms. Hoyt can usually be found reading or watching football with her husband Jason and son Justin. 

Dean of Students Darlene Espinoza 

Elementary School Administrator Darlene Espinoza will be beginning her fourth year at Albemarle Elementary Road. Ms. Espinoza has an extensive background in education having served as a teacher in the elementary, middle school, and high school capacities. In addition, she has served as a High School Administrator, a Central Office Administrator, and for the past few years, Elementary School Administrator. Ms. Espinoza received her Bachelor of the Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, her first Masters from Adelphi University, and her second Masters from the College of Saint Rose. Outside of School, Ms. Espinoza loves to spend time with her teens, Roger and Juliana, her husband, Roger, their two dogs, Sunny and Sparky, their turtle, Curly, and their cat, Charlie.
