As Principal of Bailey Middle School, I would like to welcome you to the start of another great year for our Broncos. Bailey has built a reputation over the past thirteen years of excellence in and out of the classroom. In each of the past 8 years, our students have exceeded academic performance and growth goals that consistency places us within the top 10% of all school in North Carolina. We have also been recognized as an “A” Rated School in North Carolina, which is due to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, students, and parents.
As I begin my 9th year at Bailey, I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to lead a school with such an outstanding tradition of academic, athletic, musical, and artistic success. However, success can look very different for each individual student so we continue to challenge our students and staff to embrace “Greatness as a Choice” as something that must be earned. We are also excited about the continuation of our “Leader In Me” process with our students at Bailey again this year. Our mission to “Inspire Learners and Empower Leaders” aligns perfectly with the CMS Strategic Plan and will continue to be at the forefront of ultimately making Bailey the best middle school in North Carolina.
As we move through this year, the staff and I will ensure that our students function in a safe, challenging, yet fun environment, which creates motivated learners and leaders. In addition, we will continue to enhance instruction through technology utilizing our digital learning environment with Chromebooks and a variety of online platforms. I would also encourage our Broncos to get involved in the wide range of extracurricular activities that we offer, which are all exceptional and provide avenues for the varying interests of our students.
Our PTSO is a vital part of our school and works collaboratively to support the many programs we have at Bailey. There are many opportunities for parents and community members to share their time, talent, or treasure through a variety of ways in support of our kids. Furthermore, our Band, Orchestra, Performing Arts, and Athletic Booster Clubs provide great support for our students as well and are excellent ways to get involved. Students and staff at Bailey are very fortunate to be surrounded and embraced by parents, community members, businesses, and the Town of Cornelius that have a vested interest in our success and provide a wide range of additional resources, which really sets us apart from other communities around Charlotte and beyond. I encourage you to contact the school if you have questions or would like information about school tours. You can also contact our PTSA to discuss the various ways you can invest in your child’s education at Bailey.
Create a Great Day,
Chad
