Davidson K-8 Families,
Welcome to Davidson K-8! Previously, as a K-5 school, we have a history of excellence supported by the dedication of staff, commitment of students and high parental and community involvement. We are in the midst of a conversion to a K-8 school with the addition of 6th grade for the 2019-2020 school year.
Davidson K-8 consists of 38 regular education K-6 classrooms with highly qualified teachers in each. Additionally, 18.5 highly qualified teachers work in Exceptional Children resources, CTE, music, media, physical education, art, talent development and guidance. We also have a school psychologist.
We will be working as a staff to brand Davidson K-8 over the next three years as we complete the conversion to a K-8 school. We will begin this fall as we develop a shared set of Core Beliefs, a shared Vision Statement and a shared Mission. We will keep all stakeholders involved in this process to the greatest extent possible.

Each year, we build on our tradition of excellence and academic success, setting higher goals for ourselves and our students. Our teachers are trained and practice Personalized Instruction for each child, focusing on the success and strengths of children while striving for high growth in each child at all levels of academics and abilities. In addition to a rigorous academic program, students have access to extracurricular activities: Honors Chorus, Turning Tigers Jump Rope Club, Chess Club, Battle of the Books, Girls on the Run, Let Me Run Boys Club, and many others.
