Page Content Devonshire School Improvement Team 2022-2023
Members of the School Improvement Team (SIT) formerly known as School Leadership Team, are directly involved in the development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan, and as appropriate, some of the day-to-day operations of the school.
The School Improvement Team:
- Faciitates the development of the School Improvement Plan.
- Uses data as the driving force to create programmatic instructional change.
- Monitors, assesses, and amends the School Improvement Plan, as needed.
- Advances policies and procedures that enhance achievement and meet educational, safety and parent involvement goals.
- Facilitates communication within the Professional Learning Community.
- Builds the capacity of the school to address parent and staff concerns.
2022-2023 School Improvement Team Members Meeting Dates and Times for first semester Sept 21st at 4pm Oct 25th at 4pm
Nov. 29th at 4pm Dec 15th at 4pm SIP Meeting will take place in person in the Devonshire Media Center. Parents are encouraged to park on the bus lot to save their spot in line for the food pantry, which is held directly following the School Improvement Team meeting each month. There will be a Spanish Interpreter present for all SIT meetings. We need you for SIT! The School Improvement Team (SIT) is a collaborative effort whose primary purpose is to develop and implement our annual School Improvement Plan (SIP). This guiding document is continually reviewed and modified to ensure that our students have programming and resources in place to help them achieve to their greatest potential. The primary areas that are discussed are: curriculum, data, school safety, communication, and school climate. It is a committee comprised of the Principal, staff members, parent volunteers, and community members. Devonshire is seeking parent volunteers to join our School Improvement Team.
