Congratulations to our amazing first grade teacher, Mr. Donovan! He was one of only six K-5 teachers honored by the CMS North East Learning Community for his dedication and resiliency to teaching literacy amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic. Mr. Donovan's class of students will each be gifted a book, and Mr. Donovan himself was gifted a monetary award through Donor's Choose to purchase items for his classroom. The staff, teachers, and students at DJV are so grateful to have Mr. Donovan as part of our school family!
Congratulations to one of our very own students for being recognized in the NASA Space Place Art Challenge!
Gabby, a 6 year old first grade student, created a painting based on her interpretation of the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich launch. The satellite will study global warming and Earth's rising sea levels.
