The primary responsibility of the School Improvement Team (SIT) is to create, revise, monitor, and evaluate the  (SIP). The School Improvement Plan contains the strategic plan for the year and the goals/strategies to ensure that EMHS students have programming and resources in place to help them achieve to their greatest potential. SIT is a committee comprised of the Principal, staff members, and parent volunteers.

Members of the School Improvement Team (SIT) are directly involved in the development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan, and as appropriate, some of the day-to-day operations of the school.

SLT meetings are held one Monday per month with the option of in-person or virtual. Meetings are at 6:00 PM. If attending in person, please report to the school's Media Center.  SLT meetings are open to the public, except when school safety plans are being discussed.
 
The School Improvement Team:

• Facilitates the development of the School Improvement Plan.
• Uses data as the driving force to create programmatic instructional change.
• Monitors, assesses, and amends the School Improvement Plan, as needed.
• Advances policies and procedures that enhance achievement and meet educational, safety and parent involvement goals.
• Facilitates communication within the Professional Learning Community.
• Builds the capacity of the school to address parent and staff concerns.

DATES: Meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of each month September-June. When there is no school on the scheduled date, meetings are generally held the previous week.
