Principal

Welcome to another MAGICAL school year, Highland Renaissance Academy Families! I am your Principal, Mrs. Barksdale Coles and welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We have officially been together for FOUR years, and I am still so proud and excited to be your School Principal. We made some amazing gains during the 2021-2022 school year:
  • K-2 students showed great progress & growth on the MAP assessment
  • We achieved double digit gains in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Math EOGs
  • Students showed 5-10 point growth on the 3rd and 5th grade ELA EOG
  • 5th grade students demonstrated a whopping 32% increase on the 5th grade Science EOG
  • HRA was awarded a grant and we celebrated STEM DAY at HRA
  • Over 100 families were present and fully engaged in our Family EOG and STEAM Night in April 2022
I am so proud of the AMAZING things we have achieved together. We are growing academically and have even more fun and exciting things planned for this school year!

As we leap into this new school year, I am forever grateful that you trust us with your child. EVERY single child at Highland Renaissance Academy is valued, accepted, celebrated, and supported. Thank you for all that you do as parents and families. Raising kids is hard and you bring us your very best every day. Our staff is working hard to ensure that EVERY child has a MAGICAL experience at HRA, grows academically, and develops into a good person. We love our HRA family!

Keep Shining & Keep Striving.
And remember, BE BEYONCE!
