CANVAS vs Powerschool:  What's the difference?  CANVAS is the location where students and parents can view the actual material of a class.  This includes documents, tests, quizzes and video recordings.  CANVAS is teacher specific. Powerschool is the location where parents and students can view their grades, attendance and contact information.  Powerschool is North Carolina Department of Instruction specific.
