Ahoy Pirates! This is Ms. Anna Thornton and I am one of the counselors here at Lake Wylie Elementary! This is my first year as a school counselor and I could not be more excited to be spending it here with you all! I am originally from Waxhaw, NC but have spent the last 6 years in Raleigh, NC at NC State University. I received my B.A. in Psychology in 2020 and my M. Ed. in School Counseling in 2022. I just moved to the South End area with my partner, Joe, and our fur baby, Beau! I have always had a passion for working with children and have previously worked as a preschool teacher and full-time nanny. I love being a school counselor because it allows me to form relationships with every student to help them achieve their full potential, academically and otherwise! Here's to an amazing year at Lake Wylie!
