Curriculum

Long Creek Elementary School's instruction program is designed to implement and extend the North Carolina Standard Course of Study with a strong emphasis on literacy and math.  Instruction is provided by a dedicated, professional staff of teachers and instructional associates who focus on language arts (reading/writing), mathematics, social studies, and science with specialized instruction provided by teachers in the areas of physical education, music, media and art.  We also have Exceptional Children's' teachers, a Talent Development teacher, Speech Pathologists, a Literacy Facilitator, a Math Facilitator, Student Service Specialist,  and a Guidance Counselor.
