How do I volunteer at McKee?
We would love for you to volunteer at our school! There are many opportunities to volunteer in your child's classroom, in the Media Center, in the Health Room, and many other areas of the school. In order for you to volunteer, you must first register with CMS. Click here to start the process! Thank you for wanting to participate in our school!
Who do I contact with a question?
Your child's teacher will be happy to answer any questions you have. You can either call the school, or email the teacher. Please allow a 24 hour period for them to return your messages, as they are also in the classroom.
How do I report an absence?
You can click to Report a Student Absence to let us know your child will not be at school.
Where do I find a CMS Student Handbook?
Each child will be given a CMS Student Handbook in their packet of papers the first days of school. Please make sure you read through this Handbook with your child, so that you all know the guidelines of the school system. Also, within this Handbook are forms that need to be completed and brough back to your child's teacher. The student handbook outlines the many policies and procedures for McKee Road Elementary School/Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. How can I view my child's attendance and grades online?
Parents with students in grades 3-5 can view their child's attendance and grades online. You should have been sent a username and password from CMS in the mail to your home. This username and password can be used for your child(ren) through 12th grade. Please use the links at the top left of this page to reach Parent Assistant.
