Welcome
Welcome!!!!  I am fortunate to be the principal of this GREAT school. I have been in education for 30 years and with CMS for 24 years. I have served in numerous roles during this time. Being named CMS Principal of the Year was the highlight of my career.  I've also had the unique opportunity to open two new schools within CMS as principal. I opened Merancas Middle College High School in the fall of  2017 and Ridge Road Middle School in 2009.  Previously, I served as principal at Hawthorne High School and Midwood/TAPS. During my tenure as an assistant principal, I worked at Hopewell High School, Vance High School, and J.M. Alexander Middle School.

I am active in the community, serve on numerous boards, and am a member of various organizations. I am currently a member of the board at the Keith Family YMCA, SYDKIMYL Educational Consulting, and EmpowHERment. I am also a member of the Charlotte Chapter of the Links Incorporated and Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated. I have been married for 19 years and have one son.
