Welcome to Mint Hill Elementary School!
Thank you for taking time to visit our website and learn more about our school. We are excited to open our school for the first time in August of 2022. Our school was created to provide a community to students and families from four exisiting CMS schools: Bain Elementary, Crown Point Elementary, Lebanon Road Elementary, and Matthews Elementary School. We are located on the same campus as Mint Hill Middle School, although we have seperate buildings. Our students will continue on to Mint Hill Middle School at the completion of their 5th grade year.
As we build our community, we want our families, students, and other stakeholders to be involved in the process of crafting every element of our school, ensuring that our school is a reflection of our community and is directed towards the goals and aspirations of our community. If you would like to be involved in that process, please do not hesitate to reach out--we would love for your voice and ideas to be a part of our school!
I am honored to serve as the first principal of Mint Hill Elementary School and look forward to building an amazing school for our students! I have previously served as the Principal of Winget Park Elementary School, an Assistant Principal at Shamrock Gardens Elementary School, and a Resident Principal at Albemarle Road Elementary School. In addition to my expereince as a school leader in CMS, I taught middle school and high school Social Studies and Special Education in Upstate New York for 9 years. As an educator and leader, I believe that the physical and emotional safety of our children is our most important job--but not our only job. We must ensure that our students enjoy school, learn and grow each day, and leave elementary school ready to take the next step in their lives. I look forward to partnering with our community and stakeholders to ensure that each of those goals is met and our school ensures the success and growth of every student.
In addition to serving as principal of Mint Hill Elementary School, I am also the father of a CMS 3rd-grade student. My son, Lincoln, attends Shamrock Gardens Elementary. My wife, Kari, is a Physician Assistant in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics with Novant Health.
If you have any questions regarding Mint Hill Elementary School, please do not hesitate to reach out via email or phone. I look forward to partnering with each member of our community to build our school into something special and unique for all students and families!
Go Manatees!
