Attendance Information
At Newell Elementary, we believe that parents and guardians play one of the most important roles in ensuring each child's success in school.  Studies show that students who are chronically absent – missing 10% or more of school days due to absence for any reason – excused, unexcused absences and suspensions, can result in third-graders unable to master reading, sixth-graders failing subjects and ninth-graders dropping out of high school.  Newell Elementary School is asking parents to partner with us in stressing to your child(ren) the importance of attending school every day.  If you have any questions about any information presented on this page please reach out to Ms. Farrow, the school social worker, at (980) 343-6820.
