School Hours

7:45 AM - 2:45 PM

It is imperative that students arrive at school on time every day.  Students are to report to their class by the 7:45 AM bell.  Morning announcements will begin at 7:50am. 

All car riders are to use the front main entrance of the school building.  We will welcome students in the building at 7:15. Car riders should not arrive at school before 7:15 a.m.  Parents will need to make alternate plans if this does not meet your needs.  

 Tardy Policy

We expect students to be prompt and on time to class.  When a child enters a classroom late, it disrupts both teaching and learning. Late arrivals also cause your child to miss valuable learning time. Please help your child by establishing procedures to ensure prompt arrival at school. 

SCHOOL SCHEDULE AND TARDY PROCEDURES:

7:15-7:45 AM- Student arrival and breakfast

7:45 AM- Student academic day begins. Students arriving after this time are TARDY.  Students arriving after 7:45AM must report to the office for a tardy pass, and MUST be signed in by a parent/guardian. Teachers will not accept students without a tardy pass from the office.

CONSEQUENCES FOR TARDINESS:

4th tardy will result in a letter sent home with the student.

6th tardy will result in a letter mailed outlining the tardy policy.

10th tardy will result in a parent/student conference with the School Social Worker (Attendance Contract)

12 or more tardies will result in School Administration Referral

PLEASE NOTE IF THIS IS NOT YOUR HOME SCHOOL, STUDENTS WITH EXCESSIVE TARDIES WILL BE IN DANGER OF RETURNING TO THEIR HOME SCHOOL.

Dismissal

Parents who pick up students in the afternoon should be at school as close to 2:45 PM as possible.  Car riders will be dismissed in the front of the building.  It is our goal to make sure that you and your child are safe during afternoon dismissal.  In order for the carpool line to operate efficiently, please stay in your car in the carpool line.  For student safety and to avoid traffic congestion, please cooperate with school staff in the car unloading areas.

Students are to leave campus by 3:00 p.m. each day unless they are involved in a supervised activity with staff members.  Please support us in being on time, and communicate if an emergency arises.

Routine appointments should be scheduled before or after school hours.  If a student must leave school during the day, it is necessary for parents/guardian to sign the child out at the computer in the office for early dismissals.  If someone other than a parent/guardian will be signing out a student, written permission must be given by the parent/guardian.  Please have a picture ID available (a driver's license is preferable) in order to sign out your child. 

Parents will not be permitted to pick up students from the classroom.  Students will be called to the office to go home.  Early Dismissal stops at 1:30pm.  We strongly encourage you to pick up your child before 1:30pm.  Please know that our scholars continue learning up until the end of the day and that  any interruptions stops ALL students from learning.
