Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 in-person school year here at Paw Creek. We are super excited to have you back in the building. Safety is our #1 priority and in an effort to ensure that carpool flows efficiently with the added safety precautions such as temperature checks and symptom screeners, please familiarize yourself with all of the information in this letter prior to the first day your child comes into the building.
Logistics
Instead of calling names, students will be given a carpool number prior to or on the first day of school. This is to help carpool run faster and more efficiently. Their carpool number will be pinned to their backpack. A QR symptoms screener code was mailed to you as well. Please place that on your child’s backpack as well so that it is easy to access. You will be given (2) copies of your child’s number. Please make sure that you give a copy to anyone picking up your child to ensure safety.
Health Screening
Every student must complete a symptom screener AND have their temperature checked every morning before they get out of the car. We strongly encourage you to complete the symptom screener online. It can be found on our schools website. Again, this has to be done daily. If you do not complete this screener online and show the green check that comes up once you complete the screener, a staff member will conduct the symptom screener when students arrive. We strongly encourage you to complete the symptom screener online to speed up the flow of the carpool. If students are experiencing any symptoms or have a temperature over 100.4, they will not be allowed to get out of the car.
Please refer to the back of this letter for the carpool procedures.
Thank you in advance for your patience as it will take time for all parents and students to familiarize themselves with the carpool system and navigate our new normal. If you have any questions, please contact L. Wilson, Assistant Principal, at (980) 343-6088.
In Partnership,
LaTresha Wilson, Assistant Principal
