School Improvement Plan

Phillip O. Berry Academy Community,

POB School Improvement Team and School Improvement Plan

Charlotte Mecklenburg School District is using a new platform this school year to create the School Improvement Plan -  Indistar®. Indistar® is a process that guides a district or school team in charting its improvement and managing continuous improvement with a web-based system. You might call it a change management tool. Indistar® is premised on the firm belief that district and school improvement is best accomplished when directed by the people closest to the students. Each district team and school team applies its own ingenuity to achieve the results it desires for its students—students it knows and cares about.

POB's Vision

Teaching and learning is our core business that is used to prepare students for post-secondary training and STEM careers.

POB's Mission

Education will be centered on the rigorous and relevant curriculum infused with STEM education and a focus on building positive relationships between students, parents, staff and community.

Guest access will allow you, our valued stakeholders, to review the School Improvement Plan, School Improvement Team members (with the date of election), Agendas, and Meeting Minutes. It will also highlight our Vision, Values, Mission, and Indicators, which are the areas of focus we will use this year to continue to enhance our school's performance.
