Teacher Introductions
Mrs. Gabriel: Hi! I am Mrs. Gabriel. This is my first year at Pineville but 11th year teaching. I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. I graduated from UCF in 2011 and earned my Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Exceptional Education. I graduated from Queens University in 2020 and earned my degree in Educational Leadership. I have a 2 ½ year old daughter named Ryleigh who I love to spend my weekends with! I am so excited to be here at Pineville and join the Smiler family!
Mr. Gauger: Hello, My name is Mr. Gauger, also known as Mr. G, and I am in my 17th year of teaching, with the last 9 at Pineville, with the last three as a 5th grade instructor. I started life as a Children’s Crisis Social Worker, spent six years in the business world, and then transitioned to teaching. I am originally from Wisconsin and moved to the Charlotte area in 2008. I am a huge sports fan of all Wisconsin teams and have coached baseball at the high school level in both Wisconsin and North Carolina.
Ms. Petocchi:Hi! My name is Ms. Petocchi. I am a first year teacher at Pineville and I am so excited to be here. I graduated in May 2021 with a Masters degree in Inclusive Childhood Education from Nazareth College, in Rochester New York. During my field work and student teaching experience I worked with all years of elementary school students. I am from Rochester, New York and moved to North Carolina in August! Some of my favorite things include sunflowers, anything with the color yellow, starbucks coffee and nice weather. I absolutely love working with students and being a classroom teacher.
Ms. Leck: Hi! I am Ms. Leck. This is my 6th year at Pineville but my 19th year of teaching. I have taught grades 3rd - 5th. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education focusing on math and science. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Masters in Instructional Technology. I have 3 dogs [Wexford, Bella and Madison] and 1 cat [Avery]. In my free time I enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors and completing DIY projects.
Mrs. Hoke: I’m Tiffany Hoke, the EIT3 teacher for 5th grade. I teach the literacy block and pull small math and literacy groups throughout the day while supporting the 5th grade team in planning and instruction. I graduated with my Undergraduate degree in English and Education from Hartwick College, followed by receiving my Masters degree from University of New Orleans in Curriculum and Instruction and then gained my certification in Administration at Queens University. I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in my 16 years of being an educator. I have a wonderful family made up of my husband, 2 children (Lukas and Lillian) who both attend Pineville Elementary, and our dog, Jackabee Jones. I have enjoyed being a part of the Pineville Smilers for 5 years and can’t wait to see what the future Smilers bring to our community.
