When CMS started sending Chromebooks home at some schools, they wanted to make sure that the students were on a filtered network while using a school device.  As a result, to even use a personal device with a school account, there are a few additional steps to log in. The perk is that they are on the same filtered network as at school.  Here are the steps to log in with your school credentials.

1st Login With Your Google Login:

Username: studentID@student.cms.k12.nc.us

Password: 3rd Grade - YYYYMMDD (Birthday password)

4th and 5th Grade - Personal Google Password

Once you enter the first website, you will encounter the filtering process.

Type in your username again:
StudentID@student.cms.k12.nc.us

Last screen of credentials type in:

Username: studentID@student.cms.k12.nc.us

Password: 3rd Grade - YYYYMMDD (Birthday password)

4th and 5th Grade - Personal Google Password
