What a Wonderful Spring at Rama Road!

Happy Spring Rama Road Families!

I am overwhelmed and my heart is full after the support and generosity that has been shared with our school and our staff over the past two months. From the incredible success of the Dance-a-thon to the beautiful words and demonstrations of support your families have shown our teachers and staff, you have wrapped your arms around us in this work of ensuring your child(ren) feels welcome at our school and is successful every single day. Together, we raised $24,982! This will go toward cultural enrichment experiences for classes, unique learning tools for classrooms and many school improvement efforts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the ways you have shown up for our school community this year!

Congratulations to our Rama Road PTA for the growth they have made as an organization, tackling so many wonderful support efforts benefitting our school. From the beautification of the school grounds to recruiting parents to assist in the car rider line on Friday mornings and providing teachers bathroom breaks during the day, you simply have not stopped. We appreciate you more than you can know and look forward to next year with this incredible momentum!

It is hard to believe we are moving into the final month of the school year. We still have much teaching and learning happening. Please be sure your child is at school on time each day to maximize the opportunities they have to work with their amazing teachers. An on-time start helps students prepare and get in the mindset of focused learning every morning. We appreciate your support of this request.

Students in Grades 3-5 will participate in state required End of Grade tests beginning the week of May 24th. Please see the schedule below to know what days your child will be testing. Our students have worked hard this year to jump into their learning, engaging at high levels and remaining focused on the end goal. They are ready to show us what they know and how much they have grown since returning to full in-person learning this school year. If you have a child in Grades 3-5, please be sure your child gets to bed early for plenty of sleep the night before testing. Students need to be in school every single day. Please be sure your child has eaten a good breakfast and is dropped off at school by 7:15 am to have plenty of time to get ready for their day. We will take it from there. Thank you in advance for partnering with us in this way!

We need proctors to help with testing! Please sign up using this link:

For two years, we have longed for our in-person May events to return and here they come! We have several events happening at Rama this month – Field Day, International Day, Achievement Celebrations and so much more! Information about these can be found on our school webpage and will be updated on our school Facebook.

Thank you for continued commitment to our neighborhood school, our students, and our teachers. We feel your support and know anything is possible when we attempt it together.

Here's to a strong and successful close of the 2021-22 school year!

Rama Proud,

Principal Denny
