Welcome River Oaks Families,

I would like to welcome you to River Oaks Academy. We are a neighborhood school that was established in 2008 that serves scholars in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. We have about 550 scholars at our school.

At River Oaks Academy, we are committed to excellence and to addressing the social and emotional needs, as well as the instructional needs, of every student. We believe that all students can achieve and we will work with our students and families to make that happen for every student.

Our school motto is: "One School, One Team: Empowering our Scholars for Success." This work can't be done without the collaboration of our parents, teachers, scholars, and community members. We look forward to partnering with all stakeholders to make ROA the best school it can be! invite you to partiicpate in our school community as often as you can. Finally, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. This is the first school that I have the honor to serve as the principal. Prior to that, I have been an Assistant Principal at two local CMS Elementary Schools. I graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2012, I graduated with my Master's degree in School Administration from Queen's University in Charlotte.

As a principal, I am committed to providing the best education possible. I believe that all students can succeed and will strive to lead my staff to reach all scholars and help them to grow to their fullest potential.
