Principal's Message

​Hi Parents,

The staff and I look forward to another exciting school year.  We hope to see you at our Open House for students in 1st-5th grades on Thursday, August 23rd from 3:30-4:30.  Our Kindergarten Open House will be on Thursday, August 30th from 4:30-5:30.

Please remember to renew your volunteer clearance through the CMS website.  In addition, all visitors must sign in at the office using our computer for the Lobby Guard program to receive a name tag. You must have a name tag and visitor clearance before you may walk down the hallways or visit any part of the school including the playground.  You will need to bring a driver's license to scan when you use the Lobby Guard program.

Parents and guardians will also need a driver's license or photo ID when they  pick up their children early from school.  Please remember to keep the office updated of any telephone number or address changes that occur during the school year.

Parents will need to bring their children into the office to sign them in for school if you arrive after 8:00 AM.  Students are tardy after 8:00 AM.  Please do not drop off your children to enter the building alone if you are late after 8:00 AM.  We also want to remind you that students should not be dropped off at the front of the building before 7:30 AM.  We do not have staff on duty prior to 7:30 AM to supervise students that are dropped off early.

Many after school student activities will be offered by companies that lease school space for their programs through the CMS Community Use of Schools Office.  The following companies offer after school programs at Sharon through the CMS Community Use of Schools Office:  TGA Golf, Serve It Up Tennis Academy, Sarah's Spanish School, Young Master Chess Club, Soccer Shots, Little Sticks Lacrosse, Kidz Art, Girls on the Run, and Let Me Run.  These companies hire and supervise their own staff and volunteers.   I also require that their staff and volunteers have volunteer clearance through the CMS Volunteer System.

Please follow the carpool procedures included in the packet that you will receive at Open House from the PTA.
